Cheese grits have a creamy, luscious texture with a mild and pleasant flavor. In the recipe, it is commonly used cheddar cheese, but you can choose another one to your taste: parmesan, cottage cheese, or even gorgonzola.

200 g (1 cup)
Butter 82.5%
10 g (1 tbsp)
Cheddar cheese
40 g (⅒ slices)
Paprika
10 g (½ tsp)
Grits
100 g (½ cup)
Salt, Black pepper, Paprika
Please follow the next steps:

Bring water to a boil, pour grits. Cover and let simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally.

Add cheese and butter. Mix them well until they are melted.

Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
Cook on chicken broth or milk instead of water, to make porridge more nutritious.
Choose low-fat dairy to decrease the number of calories you consume.
Weight grits before cooking: in this case, it's much easier to count how many calories you've got from your porridge.
